KFON project is a joint venture of Kerala State Electricity Board and Kerala state IIT itra structure Limited. This project was announced in 2017. Kerala state Information Technology Infrastructure Limited would be responsible for operations and maintenance of the project. The infrastructure asset shall be owned by KSEBL, bharat Electronics is a system integrated for K phone project. This project is fully funded by Kerala Infrastructure fund board and first and investment fund board, the state government agency for funding Infrastructure projects.
